Bring Learning to Life at Round Hill Farm
Trade the classroom for a memorable day of hands-on learning, fresh air and fall fun at Round Hill Farm. Students will take a tractor-drawn hayride to the pumpkin patch, meet more than 30 farm animals, explore our corn and hay bale mazes, enjoy outdoor play and select their own pumpkin to take home.
Our field trips are designed for schools, preschools, homeschool groups, churches and youth organizations throughout Culpeper and Central Virginia.

WHAT’S OPEN DURING FIELD TRIPS?
Weekday field trips are specially designed for school and group visits. The following activities
and amenities will be open and available to field-trip guests:
Tractor Drawn Hay-Ride
Enjoy a tractor-drawn hayride through the farm and out to our seasonal pumpkin patch.
Take-Home Fall Favorites
Every paid child, parent, chaperone and sibling may select one field-trip-size pumpkin, plus one apple and one gourd to take home.
Hay Bale Maze
Children can explore, climb and find their way through our hay bale maze.
Corn Maze
Enjoy a fall adventure through the Round Hill Farm corn maze.
More Than 30 Farm Animals
Visit our barnyard and meet a variety of friendly farm animals.
Playground Activities
Make time for active outdoor play on the playground areas included with the field-trip experience.
Reserved Picnic Area
Schools must bring their own packed lunches and drinks. Designated picnic space is included.
Country Store
During weekday field trips, fresh coffee, snacks, drinks,
gifts, and seasonal merchandise will be available for purchase.

A typical field trip includes:
Group check-in
Tractor-drawn hayride to the pumpkin patch
Visits with more than 30 farm animals

Lunch in a designated picnic area
A field-trip-size pumpkin, one apple and one gourd for every paid guest
Groups may enjoy the included activities throughout the scheduled field-trip period. Weekday field trips conclude at 1:30 p.m., so schools should plan transportation accordingly. Field trips take place outdoors. Students should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Only the activities and amenities specifically listed on this Field Trips page will be open during weekday school visits.
The complete selection of weekend Fall Festival attractions, rides, activities and concession stands will not be open during weekday field trips. Regular festival food concessions will also be closed.
Schools should plan their visit based only on the field-trip activities listed above and should bring packed lunches and drinks for all students and teachers.
Families who would like to experience the complete Round Hill Farm Fall Festival are invited to return during our public festival hours.
Teachers & Group Leaders
Field-trip reservations are available for schools and groups of 10 or more.
Yes. All teachers accompanying a registered school or group receive complimentary admission. Bus drivers also receive complimentary admission.
Every paid student, parent, chaperone and sibling receives access to the open field-trip activities and takes home one field-trip-size pumpkin, one apple and one gourd.
Complete the Field Trip Request Form with your preferred date, estimated attendance and contact information. A Round Hill Farm team member will contact you to confirm availability and provide reservation instructions.
Submitting the form does not guarantee a reservation until the date has been confirmed by Round Hill Farm.
Admission may be collected and paid through the school, purchased online or paid upon arrival at Admissions.
Schools should tell participating parents and chaperones which payment method they would like them to use.
Your reservation confirmation will include instructions for providing your final estimated attendance count.
Field trips take place outdoors and may include uneven farm surfaces. Students should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.
Yes. Schools must bring packed lunches and drinks for their students and teachers.
A designated picnic area is included with the field-trip package. Regular Fall Festival concession stands will not be open during weekday field trips.
The Round Hill Farm Country Store will be open with fresh coffee, snacks and cold drinks available for purchase. However, the Country Store is not intended to replace packed school lunches.

The complete weekend Fall Festival experience—including the full selection of rides, attractions, activities and concession stands—does not operate during weekday field trips.
Parent, Chaperone,& Siblings
Yes. Parents and chaperones pay the same $12 field-trip admission price as students.
Paid parent and chaperone admission includes the same field-trip activities and take-home
products provided to students: one field-trip-size pumpkin, one apple and one gourd.Siblings may attend with the approval of the school or group leader. Each sibling requires a $12
field-trip admission. Paid sibling admission includes the field-trip activities and one field-trip-size pumpkin, one apple and one gourd to take home.Parent, chaperone and sibling admission may be:

Parents should follow the payment instructions provided by their school or group leader.
Parents and chaperones should check in at Admissions before proceeding to the designated
meeting area for their school or group. Please do not wait in the bus unloading area or remain in the parking lot during student arrival, as this can interfere with buses and group check-in.Yes. Parents and siblings should bring their own packed lunches and drinks.
Regular Fall Festival concession stands will not be open during weekday field trips. Fresh coffee,
snacks and cold drinks will be available for purchase in the Country Store.No. Weekday field trips are a specially scheduled group experience and are not the complete
weekend Fall Festival. Only the attractions and amenities listed in the “What’s Open During Field Trips?” section will be available. The full selection of weekend rides, activities, attractions and concession stands will not be operating.
Reservations, Payment,& Weather
Yes. All school and group field trips require an advance reservation. Your reservation is not
complete until your date has been confirmed by Round Hill Farm.Student, parent, chaperone and sibling admission may be paid through the school, purchased
online or paid upon arrival at Admissions.Teachers and bus drivers receive complimentary admission.
Field trips are outdoor experiences and are subject to weather and farm conditions.
If Round Hill Farm determines that conditions require a cancellation, the designated group
contact will be notified as soon as possible. We will work with the group to identify an available
